People Incorporated Transitional Supports provides a safe and stable environment, along with individualized support, to individuals in need of alternative placement or a “bridge” from their current residence to their next residence. The program also helps participants prepare for the next stage of their recovery.
Who we serve
We serve individuals who are having a difficult time with their mental health, and who are in need of temporary residential services to help ensure their long-term success.
The goals we set
We don’t determine the goals for the people we serve. We trust that they’re the experts when it comes to the direction in which they would like their life to grow. In general, we hope that we are helping individuals to create a long-term personalized plan to access the supports and services that they need.
Services we provide
Our residents reside in a two-bedroom apartment with staff available in the unit 24 hours a day. Our program is classified as Corporate Foster Care with a Rule 245D license. We’re able to help organize and administer medications, coordinate services, clarify a goal plan and help practice coping strategies.
About the process
Most often, we receive referrals from the individual’s county of residence or case manager. Our services are typically paid for by CADI or BI waivers, though if approved in advance, we may be able to be paid directly by counties. We also have a daily room and board fee that may be paid for by Group Residential Housing grants if the individual qualifies.
About our staff
Our staff are Mental Health Practitioners with a combination of education and experience in the mental health arena. We also have overnight staff who are well trained to address any crisis that could occur during the overnight hours.
Hours of operation
Staff members are available to be present in the apartment at all times, with awake overnight staffing if the individual requires that level of support.
