Client Testimonial

I had been homeless for two years when I got involved with People Incorporated. Now I have my own apartment, I’m working on my GED, and I’m planning to go to college and then find work. I’m just so grateful.

September 20, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Teaching artist Gail Harbeck will lead participants in a still life study using acrylics and integrating expressionistic principles. Participants in this two-part workshop will have an opportunity to learn more about what expressionistic painting is; how to apply basic techniques for holding and using a paintbrush; and how to apply knowledge of balance, variation, scale/proportion, dominance, similarity and contrast. Participants also will synthesize discussions, demonstrations and examples in producing two compositional sketches. ASL interpretation is available for all workshops upon request.
