Clinical Interests
I provide individual (youth, young adults and adults), couples, family and group therapy and have over 35 years of experience providing therapeutic services for issues related to trauma, parenting, family violence, emotional regulation, high stress, adoption and times of life transition. I integrate the use of Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Attachment Theory, and Adlerian approaches along with the neural-bio-physiological knowledge and understanding of the mind-body connections to help those experiencing post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression.
A good portion of my work involves group therapy with those who have been hurtful toward family members and victims-survivors, who are youth, children, young and older adults of violence, domestic violence, trauma, and other stress-experienced people.
I’m most interested in helping people establish their own self-care strategies, build self-awareness, and develop resilience that can lead to healthy and healing relationships. In addition to my full-time clinical practice at People Incorporated, I’m a Community Faculty Member at Metro State University and I teach in the Psychology and Human Services Departments.
