People Incorporated is committed to protecting the health and safety of its clients, community, and staff. We have taken the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the flu, and many other illnesses. We will continue to do what we can amidst this crisis to help and to partner with others in mental health, health care, social services and at the community level to serve our clients and face this unprecedented challenge together.
Our coordinated COVID-19 response efforts include the implementation of social distancing and heightened infection control protocols at all locations.
We ask that individuals stay home when sick and/or presenting early signs of fever and respiratory issues.
Given the COVID-19 social distancing requirements and rules around crowds gathering in one place, we have implemented the following changes to these programs to keep our clients, community, and staff safe. We will continue to monitor and re-evaluate this situation in real-time, providing updates to our plan when we have more information.
Our infection control practices at our clinics include:
Staff must wear masks at all times
All surfaces are sanitized several times per day, including after every use
The lobby and the offices are arranged in a manner that makes social distancing possible
Clients are asked to wear masks while in the office and masks are provided if a client does not have a mask
Clients are offered telemedicine services if they prefer to stay at home
Clients are offered telephonic sessions or in-office telemedicine sessions if they don’t have the capacity for telemedicine in the home (i.e. no computer/internet)
We are offering telemedicine mental health services to ensure we can meet clients’ mental health needs during this difficult time; call Central Access at 651-774-0011 to get started.
Scheduled trainings through June 2020, offered at the Training Institute, will be provided via live streaming. No in-person trainings will be held during this time, but all scheduled training classes will be available through streaming unless otherwise noted. We will be re-evaluating this situation and give additional direction as we feel informed to do so. The Training Institute’s website is updated to reflect two-hour online classes through June 2020, offered at a 20 percent discount, with each class eligible for two CEU credits.
Artability Art Workshops:
The public Artability Art Workshops are suspended.
With school closures, we are deploying our school-based services outside of the classrooms. Our staff are prepared to serve clients in need of services through other means. We want to ensure that our youth in programming have an opportunity to continue these vital services if able while the schools are closed.
Community Support Programs:
We have temporarily closed our Community Support Programs (CSP): Northside CSP (1309 Girard Avenue North Minneapolis, MN 55411), Homeless CSP at York (317 York Avenue St. Paul, MN 55130), and Deaf Mental Health Services CSP (726 2nd Street NE Minneapolis, MN 55413).
We will be posting notices and notifying clients in need of services during this time to call Central Access at 651-774-0011.
The Restoring Place and Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Services:
We have temporarily closed The Restoring Place (700 8th Street East St. Paul, MN 55106) and all intensive outpatient substance use disorder services.
