This class examines the relationship between the impact of traumatic stress and the development of mental health, addictive disorders, and medical disorders. The class pulls data from the ACES study and provides guidelines for engagement with people who have suffered trauma. In addition, the class examines an organizational toolkit which highlights different service areas where an awareness of trauma is essential to effective service delivery.
