Clinical Interests
Hello there! I’m Blake! Last year, I joined the 11th cohort of People Incorporated’s “Mental Health Practitioner Trainee” program, which lasts nine months. During these months, I was able to gain experience working full-time in a variety of mental health programs. I was able to work in crisis centers that address immediate concerns across a 10-day stay, in IRTS (Intensive Residential Treatment Services) programs that seek to delve deeper into improving an individual’s mental health during a 30-90 day period, and in customized living programs that focus on supporting an individual’s day-to-day life and long-term wellbeing. After graduating from my trainee program, I became interested in supporting the mental health of children and young adults. I am thrilled to join the Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports team!
I look forward to supporting students in any aspect I can and can’t wait to get started!
Hobbies
In my free time, you can usually find me reading sci-fi or fantasy books, spending time with my dog, playing videogames, or longboarding our Minnesota summers and snowboarding our Minnesota winters. I am passionate about making people feel heard, respected, and valued, as well as ensuring they have support in exploring their passions, identity, and goals.
