This was one of my first pieces that I created based off of an idea formed in my mind versus being inspired by other artist’s work. I re-found my love for art during the pandemic and used it as a coping skill. I experience chronic suicidal ideation, depression, and anxiety, so this painting reminds me that I can always try again the next day.

I created this piece during the pandemic of 2020. It was very therapeutic to turn my feelings of anxiety into a piece of art.

This painting was based on a Bob Ross tutorial. It forced me to trust the process from it looking like nothing to eventually turning into a beautiful landscape.

This work was created at an Artability workshop involving acrylic pouring. I chose earth tones to bring more of a nature feel to it.

This painting was made at an abstract Artability workshop. It pushed me outside my comfort zone because there was no end goal in mind, not any “wrong” things to do. I tried a lot of different techniques which come across very chaotic yet there are bright colors popping out, just like in life.
