Safe Haven Services – Ramsey House

Who we serve
We assist chronically homeless adults with a mental illness to achieve their goals related to safety, stability and recovery. For chronically homeless individuals living on the street, the transition from the street to permanent housing is made in stages (as necessary) and staff work to create a service environment where individuals feel at ease, out of danger, with flexible program services to meet their needs.

The goals we set
Through outreach we work to develop relationships with the people we serve, help them access mental and physical health care, explore their interest in getting housing, learn about their skills and work towards greater self-determination and independence.

Services we provide
We provide outreach on the street, service-enriched housing, consisting of residential housing with on-site psychiatric and skill-based services designed to normalize the participants’ relationship with helping professionals and teach people how to manage their mental illness. We offer medication assistance and education, skills development, crisis assistance, resource development and coordination, case coordination, group services, discharge planning, leisure activities, peer support, medical and psychiatric coordination, and supportive housing arrangements.
