Riverwind Crisis Response Services

Riverwind provides mental health mobile crisis response, assessment, intervention and stabilization services for adults and children in Anoka County. Riverwind also offers short-term, mental health crisis residential services to adults who live in Anoka County. Riverwind has a 24-hour hotline for mental health resources, referral, and crisis assistance. We are a community-based service, where staff and service recipients work together to avoid repeating crisis situations and hospitalization.

Who we serve
We serve adults and children of any age who are experiencing symptoms due to mental health crisis. People who are actively suicidal or homicidal, who need detox services, or who are in current danger because of a domestic abuse situation, should be referred to a more protective setting.

The goals we set
At Riverwind, our goal is to help individuals deal with immediate mental health needs and formulate plans to prepare to meet future needs. We measure success by the long-term effectiveness of helping those with mental illness learn new coping skills, recognize symptoms earlier, and avoid future needs for immediate interventions.

Services we provide
Riverwind provides mobile response services that reach out to people where they are, and on-site services for adults needing crisis or stabilization residential treatment. Length of services can range from brief, to immediate intervention and stabilization services, to extensive therapeutic community contact, or residential stays of three to ten days. Riverwind also provides a 24-hour, 7- days a week hotline for support, referral, and resource information.
