Community Services in Dakota County

People Incorporated Community Services in Dakota County staff provide services to adults living with chronic chemical dependency issues, mental illness, or those with the dual diagnosis of chemical dependency and mental illness. The goal of our services is to help persons live safely and productively in the community, and to help them develop self-awareness and make positive plans for the future.

Who we serve
We serve adults (18+) living in Dakota County who have chronic chemical dependency issues, mental illness, or those diagnosed with both chemical dependency and mental illness.

The goal of our services is to help persons live safely and productively in the community, as well as develop self-awareness and make positive plans for the future.

Services we provide

  • Targeted Case Management Services: These services may include developing a goal plan for each person, helping with housing, daily living, chemical and physical health management, financial management, educational/employment opportunities, and the use of resources and services in the community.
  • Independent Living Skills (ILS): These services are designed to assist a recipient with developing and enhancing mental health coping skills such as mental health stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustments, independent living and community skills. Recipients may qualify if they are eligible for waiver funding.
  • Community Action Programs (CAP) Support Services: These services are geared toward facilitating the smooth running of residential units, improving and/or maintaining the residents’ emotional or behavioral functioning and reducing the risk of loss of housing or placement in a more restrictive setting for those Dakota County residents residing in designated CAP housing.

About the process
Referrals are received through Dakota County, Case Managers, and other contracted service providers.

About our fees
Services are reimbursed through a combination of Medical Assistance, Managed Health Care Plans and county contracts.

About our staff
Services are provided by Mental Health Practitioners who have degrees in an educational or human services field. They receive ongoing training.

Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
