K-12 Day Treatment
5555 Boone Ave N
New Hope, MN 55428
Our K-12 Day Treatment program for children aims to restore functioning, develop age-appropriate coping skills, decrease aggression and/or self-defeating behaviors, improve family support systems, develop positive relationships with adults and peers, and improve functioning in the home, school, and community.
Services we provide
- Day treatment consists of three hours of programming, five days a week.
- Service components include one hour of group therapy and two hours of skills training each day.
- Individual therapy is provided at least once a week during the three hour block.
- Family therapy is provided one to four times a month in addition to the three hours of daily programming.
Who we serve
We serve children primarily age 5-18 who have a Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) diagnosis, as well as severe emotional and behavioral disturbances. Typically they have struggled in two areas of their lives, and less restrictive mental health interventions have not restored functioning. Ninety percent of clients reside in Hennepin County.
About the process
Clients are referred through schools, mental health professionals, hospitals and parents.
