Veteran broadcaster Jane Pauley will speak at People Incorporated’s 43rd Annual Luncheon on June 14. Based on her best-selling memoir, Skywriting: A Life out of the Blue, Pauley will speak on her experiences of bipolar disorder. “My goal in talking about mental illness is to help people with mental illness see themselves differently,” she says, “and more importantly, to help everyone else see us in new and powerful ways.”
Jane Pauley’s career spans morning, daytime, and primetime television, making her one of the most recognizable personalities in America. At the age of 25 she was named co-host of NBC’s Today Show, first with Tom Brokaw and later with Bryant Gumbel. After thirteen years, she switched to primetime, anchoring the NBC Nightly News, followed by a highly successful eleven-year run with NBC’s award-winning magazine show, Dateline.
The luncheon will be held at the Crowne Plaza St. Paul – Riverfront Hotel, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Tickets may be purchased now, and table sponsorships are available.
